Masterclasses - Consultancy - Coaching
I work on capacity building with Diaspora (Migrant) organizations and their local partners by offering online and offline Masterclasses, Consultancy and coaching to help professionalize organizations and support projects.
Next to the Diaspora organisations I also support Dutch (European) small NGO´s to create more Local Ownership.

I focus on these themes and subjects:
-
Local Ownership (Locals are project owners)
-
Gouvernance (your organization here and there)
-
Communication (Interal and External)
-
Visibility (make yourself visible online and offline)
-
Fundraising (events, crowdfunding, partnerships)
-
Project management and project setup
-
Managing expectations (you and your local NGO)
-
Intercultural Communication (Dutch (European) NGO´s and local partners)
-
Presenting yourself and pitching your project

Storytelling

Local Changemakers has a few Ambassadors that share their stories with us and we publish these on Linkedin, our website and Page IX (African Online Platform https://page-ix.com/).
In these short stories we get a look into the lives of our Ambassadors and other Diaspora showing us their projects or local business.
Next to this we create other Visibility projects like photo exhibitions and video´s.
I find it important to tell the stories of the diaspora and their local organizations and hope to inspire other Diaspora and Migrants to put up projects and social businesses in their countries of origin and support this important way of development cooperation.

Knowledge exchange and networking events
I like to support knowledge exchange between diaspora organizations and mostly try to engage with Diaspora living in the Netherlands but also the rest of Europe. In this way knowledge can be shared and ideas can be developed.

At the events I aim to have inspiring speakers, interesting workshops and create networking possibilities.

I also organize events where the aim is to mix the Diaspora organizations with Dutch organizations or (social) businesses and bring them together to look at ways to be as effective as possible within Development Cooperation and International Development.
